The race.
The Valley Barbz 5K takes place on August 2, 2026, at 7:00 AM in Edinburg, TX, starting and finishing at 714 S Raul Longoria Rd. Participants can choose between a 5K (3.1 miles) or 1K distance. Entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $10 for the 1K. Finishers receive medals; those registering by July 4th also receive a t-shirt. Age group awards are offered for women's 5K participants in divisions spanning ages 9 and under through 70 and over, with separate awards for the 1K race.
