The race.
The VentureQuest Adventure Race takes place September 12, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. from Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, Maryland. Participants choose from multiple course options: 5 miles, 20 miles, 25 miles, 35 miles, 40 miles, a 4-hour adventure race, or a 5-hour self-directed course. The race combines trekking, paddling, mountain biking, and navigation disciplines. Solo competitors and teams of up to four members (in male, female, or mixed configurations) compete with team members staying together throughout the entire race.
