Veterans Day Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 NYC Central 2026

The race.

The Veterans Day Freedom Run takes place November 14, 2026, in New York City and offers four distances: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and 13.1 miles. Three in-person waves start at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM, with coordinators available for three hours after the first wave. A virtual option allows participants to run anytime and submit results. All finishers receive a race bib on race day, a technical running shirt shipped to their registered address, a finisher's towel or giveaway, a finisher's medal, a digital training pack, and an online results certificate. Optional time tracking uses personal apps or coordinator assistance; no timing chips are used. Participants may fundraise for a charity of their choice, with 100% of net funds directed to the selected cause. Packet pickup is eliminated; race bibs are distributed at the event.
