The Veterans Day Freedom Run takes place November 14, 2026, in San Diego, California, offering distances of 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and half-marathon (13.1 miles). Participants can choose from three wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., or 8:30 a.m., with late arrivals accommodated for three hours after the first wave. All ages and fitness levels are welcome to run or walk. Finishers receive a technical running shirt (shipped to a U.S. address), finisher's medal, towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, and online certificate of completion. Timing is optional; participants may track their own time using fitness apps or request coordinator assistance, with results posted online. Fundraising for a charity of choice is optional, with 100 percent of net funds directed to the selected cause. A virtual run option is available, allowing participants to complete the distance at any time and location.
