Vyshyvanka Run NYC 2026 2026

Description

Friendly 5K run for adults and short-distance fun runs for kids. The race takes place on August 22, 2026 - Ukrainian Independence Day. All participants are welcome to join and wear their Vyshyvankas (Ukrainian traditional shirt). Our objective is a) to raise money (100% goes directly to help Ukraine) b) To promote Ukrainian culture in NYC c) to enjoy the company of the fellow runners :)

Proceeds from this race will finance a drone for the artillery brigade. This drone will help protect troops closer to the front line by allowing reconnaissance drones to cover greater distances for information gathering, as well as improving the ability to inflict damage on the enemy.

The cost of the drone is 105,000 plus 15,000 for the controller (UAH currency).

Remaining proceeds will be allocated to support child rehabilitation center "Nadia" in Lubny (ЛУБЕНСЬКИЙ ДИТЯЧИЙ СОЦІАЛЬНО-РЕАБІЛІТАЦІЙНИЙ ЦЕНТР «НАДІЯ»).
