The race.

The Washington Island Ultra takes place on July 23, 2026, on Washington Island, Wisconsin. Registration opens August 1st via email to those on the waitlist or who raced in the previous two years; interested runners may join the waitlist by contacting craig@mammothendurance.com. The event accommodates solo athletes and teams and typically sells out within 24 to 48 hours of opening. Participants receive meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared on-site, plus fresh coffee and tea. The race is held on an island accessible by car ferry across Deaths Door Passage.
