We Love Teachers 5K - Birmingham 2026

The race.

The We Love Teachers 5K takes place October 10, 2026, at Veterans Park in Hoover, AL, as part of a 10-city national event celebrating educators. Participants run a 5K chip-timed course with registration and packet pickup from 7:00–7:55 a.m. and a race start at 8:00 a.m. All finishers receive an official race shirt (distributed after the race) and finisher medal. Awards go to top three finishers in age groups 14 & Under through 60+, as well as categories for Overall Male and Female, Most School Spirit, Fastest Teacher, Team Champion, and Legacy Award for best Parent-Child Duo Time. The event includes an opening ceremony at 7:45 a.m., award ceremony at 8:45 a.m., and celebration with music, food, and prizes through 11:00 a.m. Participants can dedicate their run to a teacher, who receives a digital certificate of appreciation.
