The race.
The We Love Teachers 5K takes place on October 10, 2026, at Busse Woods South in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This 5K race is one of ten simultaneous in-person events held nationwide on the same day. Registration and packet pickup begin at 7:00 a.m., with the race starting at 8:00 a.m. and awards presented at 8:45 a.m. All participants receive an official race shirt (distributed after the race), finisher medal, race bib, and chip-timed results. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group (14 & Under through 60+), plus special categories including Most School Spirit, Fastest Teacher, Team Champion, and Legacy Award for best parent-child duo time. The race celebration continues from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with music, food, and prizes.
