We Love Teachers 5K - DC/Maryland 2026

The race.

The We Love Teachers 5K takes place October 10, 2026, at Rock Creek Park Picnic Grove #24 in Washington, DC. This 5K race is part of a national simultaneous event across 10 cities celebrating educators. Registration and packet pickup run from 8:00–8:55 a.m., with the race starting at 9:00 a.m. and an award ceremony at 9:45 a.m. All participants receive an official race shirt (distributed after the race), finisher medal, and race bib; the race is chip-timed with results tracked on a national leaderboard. Awards are given for overall male and female winners, age groups (14 and under through 60+), most school spirit, fastest teacher, team champion, and best parent-child duo. The race celebration continues through 11:00 a.m. with music, food, and prizes.
