The race.
The 17th Annual Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run on November 7, 2026, in Rochester, NY, offers 10K, 5K, 1K, and 1-mile distances, with the 5K and 10K starting at 8:30am and the 1K at 9:40am. Registration fees benefit local food pantries, and participants who register by October 6 receive a performance-fabric race shirt. The 5K and 10K follow urban routes along East Avenue, the Genesee Riverway Trail, and University of Rochester campus (10K only), with cash prizes awarded for top three finishers and age-group winners in five-year categories. Virtual participation is available for any distance. A free 50-yard children's dash called Boogie for Broccoli runs at approximately 9:55am.
