The race.
The Welcome Walk 2026 is a 5K held on October 17, 2026, at The Ott Center Indoor Track at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The event supports Asylum Pride House's work with LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Philadelphia. Registration costs $20 through the end of August, then increases to $30. All participants receive a Welcome Walk 2026 t-shirt and access to a fundraising page, though fundraising participation is optional. Attendees may also donate, raise funds, or contribute cleaning and housing supplies at a drive on event day. Participants can join or form teams, and those with financial constraints are encouraged to contact the organizer.
