Wild Driftless Adventure Race 2026

The race.

The Wild Driftless Adventure Race takes place October 3, 2026, in Elkader, Iowa. Participants choose between two formats: the 9-hour Wild Driftless, which includes trekking, biking on gravel roads and trails, paddling in canoes on flat water and rivers, and special tasks; or the 5-hour Wild Driftless Lite, featuring trekking, biking, and special tasks without paddling. Teams of 2–4 people and soloists may enter. USARA membership is required at registration; single-day membership costs $8 and yearly membership costs $35. The course incorporates limestone terrain, forest, gravel roads, and water features in the Driftless region of northeastern Iowa.
