Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K 2026

The race.

The Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K takes place on December 5, 2026, in Wilmington, NC, with four race options: a 16.2-mile Challenge (5K plus half marathon), a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 6.2-mile 10K, and a 3.1-mile 5K. The 5K starts at 7:00 AM, the 10K at 7:30 AM, and the half marathon at 7:45 AM, all beginning and ending at Riverfront Park (10 Cowan St). Challenge participants must finish the 5K in under 45 minutes to reach the half marathon start line on time. Every finisher receives a medal, and age group award winners can pick up their awards at the Awards Tent. The finish line features music, complimentary beer from local breweries, and food. Challenge registrants receive a race bib, both 5K and half marathon finisher medals, a long-sleeve shirt, and a bonus gift.
