The race.
The Wichita State University Pumpkin Run takes place on October 17, 2026, on the WSU campus in Wichita, Kansas. Participants can choose between a 5K race or a 1K fun run for children 10 and under. All finishers receive a T-shirt and medal, with age group and overall awards presented to top finishers in the 5K. Virtual participation is available, with finishers receiving the same shirt and medal. A referral program offers $15 off registration when five or more friends register using a personalized code. One dollar from each registration benefits Suspenders4Hope, an organization focused on mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
