The race.
The YMCA Strong Kids Triathlon takes place on Labor Day, September 7, 2026, in Simpsonville, SC. The event features four competition categories: Junior Tri for ages 6–15 (100-yard pool swim, 4-mile bike, 1-mile run); KinderTry for ages 4–8 (25-yard pool swim, 1-mile bike, 0.25-mile run); Adaptive Youth Tri for ages 6–18 (100-yard pool swim, 4-mile bike, 1-mile run); and Adaptive KinderTry. All participants must be USA Triathlon members; memberships can be purchased during registration, with an additional $10 USAT fee required per participant.
