Zanfel Orienteering Race # 3 2026

The race.

Zanfel Orienteering Race #3 takes place October 3, 2026, at the Lake Area in Waubonsie Park (2585 Waubonsie Park Road, Hamburg, Iowa). The 5-mile event is a run/hike navigation challenge where participants locate checkpoints using maps and instructions. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. start; the 4-hour cutoff time applies. Registration closes September 18. The $40 entry fee includes a shirt, medal, drinks, and snacks. Participants compete in solo or team divisions (coed, men, or women, with 2–3-person teams available). Maps, instructions, and punch cards are distributed at check-in, with map assistance available on-site.
