About the race
The race.
The Zay Strong Fun Run and Walk takes place August 22, 2026, at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, Maine. Participants can choose a 1-mile untimed walk starting at 9 a.m. or a 5K trail race beginning at 9:30 a.m. The course uses a 1-mile loop combining stone dust trail and grassy field terrain. A virtual 5K option is available for remote participants. Prizes are awarded in the 5K race, and raffles are held for walkers. All proceeds benefit Boston Children's Hospital in memory of Xavier (Zay) Davis.
