How to become a race photographer with PodiumBase

How to apply to shoot races on PodiumBase and get your first event.

On this page 3

Applying

You can apply to shoot races from the photographers page. It is a short application, and the goal is to get you to your first paid race rather than a long onboarding.

Getting your first race

Start with one race. You can be invited to an event by a race director, or pick up a race that needs coverage near you. Some assignments are rep-only, while a payment-backed assignment can guarantee up to $500 when you complete its coverage requirements. You keep 60% of digital photo sales and 80% of net-after-COGS print sales. Eligible sale earnings count toward a payment-backed assignment's guaranteed minimum; settlement tops you up only when those earnings fall short.

What happens after you apply

After you apply, your application is reviewed, usually within a couple of days, and you are let know when you are eligible. If you have questions while you wait, ask in the chat.
