How photographers get paid

How earnings, tips, and payouts work for photographers.

How you earn

You earn from sales of the photos you shot, and you keep most of each sale: 80% as a Pro photographer, or 60% on community uploads. On many races a Pro who is assigned to the event also has a guaranteed floor, typically between $200 and $700 depending on the race, so you earn at least that even if sales are slow.

Tips

Runners can add a tip when they get their photos, and tips go to the photographer who shot them.

Getting paid out

Payouts are sent to your connected Stripe account, which you set up once from your photographer settings, on a weekly schedule once your balance passes a small minimum. Your current balance and payout details show up there. For a question about a specific payout, ask in the chat and a teammate will look it up.
