How and when race photographers get paid

How earnings, tips, and payouts work for photographers.

How you earn

You earn from sales of the photos you shot: 60% of each digital photo sale and 80% of net-after-COGS print sales. Some Pro assignments are rep-only. A payment-backed assignment can guarantee up to $500 after you complete its coverage requirements. Eligible sale earnings count toward that minimum; settlement tops you up only when they fall short, and you keep the higher eligible earnings when they exceed it.

Tips

Runners can add a tip when they get their photos, and tips go to the photographer who shot them.

Getting paid out

Payouts are issued to your connected Stripe account according to the schedule configured for your account once eligible earnings meet any applicable minimum or hold. Stripe and your bank then complete settlement, which can take additional business days. Your current balance and payout details show up in photographer settings. For a question about a specific payout, ask in the chat and a teammate will look it up.

Next step

Your payouts live in your photographer account; the rates are on the pricing page.
