How do I delete my face data?
Turn off face matching in your privacy center, under the face matching consent. Withdrawing that consent deletes your biometric face template. You keep your account and your existing photos, and you are no longer findable by face.
Retention depends on the flow you used. Event-page and eligible cross-event one-time searches delete the selfie image and do not retain a derived face template. Account enrollment deletes the image after processing but retains the mathematical template while your consent is active. A separate pre-account QR enrollment can retain the selfie and face print for matching at covered events for up to five years under its signed disclosure. You can request deletion sooner or sign in with the same verified email to link and manage the enrollment. Withdrawing the applicable consent queues retained biometric data for deletion.
How do I hide my photos without deleting anything?
Two separate switches in the privacy center do this:
- Public photos. Turning this off removes your photos from public galleries immediately. You can still see and buy your own.
- Public race history. Turning this off makes your runner passport private, so only you can see your race history.
Both are reversible. Turning public photos back on may make your photos appear in public galleries again.
How do I delete my whole account?
Request account deletion in the privacy center. It is scheduled with a 30-day grace period rather than happening instantly, and you can cancel any time before the scheduled date.
If you want a copy of your data first, request a data export in the same place. We email you when it is ready. Do that before scheduling deletion, not after.
Is anything kept after deletion?
Yes, a small amount that we are legally required to keep:
- Tax records for prior calendar years, under standard retention rules.
- Refund-eligible orders inside the 30-day dispute window.
- Your privacy consents, replaced with non-identifying markers where required, so we can prove what you consented to and when.
- Audit-log rows referencing past actions, with the actor reference anonymized.
None of this identifies you in the product, and none of it is your face data, which is deleted outright.
