Your name in public race-results listings

How to hide your name from a race's public finisher-results listing, and how to request removal if you do not have an account.

What a public results listing shows

After a race, an event page can show a public finisher-results listing: a leaderboard of bib number, name, division, place, and finish time. Your bib, time, and place are part of the official race record. They are printed on the bib you wore and published by the timing company, so PodiumBase treats them as public. Your name is the part you can choose to hide.

Hiding yourself from results listings

If your race result is linked to your PodiumBase account, you control this yourself.

Go to your privacy settings, open Race display preferences, and turn on "Hide me from public race-results listings." Once it is on, you are simply left out of every event's public finisher list. Your own results stay fully visible to you when you are signed in.

This is an instant change. It takes effect the next time a listing loads, and no photos are re-rendered.

If your result is not linked to your account yet

The toggle needs your finish to be connected to your account. If you have not done that, claim your race result first: confirm it with your roster email or with a selfie match for that event. Claiming also unlocks your photos and any finisher certificate. After you claim, the "Hide me from public race-results listings" toggle is available in Race display preferences.

Requesting removal without an account

If you cannot or would rather not claim your result, we will still remove your name for you. Email privacy@podiumbase.io or use the contact form, tell us the race and your bib number, and we will hide you from that event's public listing. We verify the request before acting on it.

What stays visible

Hiding yourself removes your name from public finisher lists on PodiumBase. It does not change the official timing results published by the race or its timer elsewhere, where bib, time, and place may still appear. When you opt out you are simply absent from the listing. We never label anyone as having opted out.
