10th Annual Geisinger Marworth Recovery Fun Run; Celebrating National Recovery Month 5K and 1 Mile Walk 2026

The race.

The 10th Annual Geisinger Marworth Recovery Fun Run takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 10 AM at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail's Olive Street trailhead in Scranton, PA. Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile run, 1-mile walk, or virtual versions of either distance. Day-of registration runs from 8:30 to 9:45 AM, with a $25 pre-registration fee (by September 24) or $30 on race day, which includes a t-shirt while supplies last. Medals are awarded to top finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under through 70 and over, divided by gender, plus a prize raffle drawing. Race proceeds benefit the Geisinger Marworth Therapeutic Activities Fund, which supports therapeutic recreation programs for patients in recovery.
