13th Annual Little Ironman: 5K, Fun Walk, and Mud Run 2026

The race.

The 13th Annual Little Ironman event on August 23, 2026, in Jonesborough, TN, features a 5K run, 1-mile fun walk, and mud run, all held at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and surrounding community areas. The 5K and fun walk both start at 5 PM with digital timing; the mud run begins at 3 PM and includes obstacles such as creek runs, tires, balance beams, climbing walls, and mud crawls, with heats organized by age group for participants ages 3 and up. Registration and packet pickup run from 2 PM to 4:30 PM on race day, with pre-registration closing August 20 at midnight. Entry fees are $25 for pre-registration ($30 race day for 5K and fun walk; $25 for mud run), and the first 150 registrants across all events receive a swag bag. Age groups for awards span from 14 and under through 60+, with recognition given to top male and female finishers overall and in each age category. A virtual 5K option is available, with registration closing August 14; participants receive a mailed shirt and bib.
