The 2026 CVC San Diego Triathlon and San Diego Tri Series 5K takes place August 16, 2026, in Chula Vista, CA at the San Diego Bayfront. This event serves as race #2 of the San Diego Triathlon Series and qualifies for the Triple Crown of Triathlon. In addition to the 5K run, participants can choose from multiple race formats including International Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Relay, Sprint Duathlon, Sprint Aquabike, Mini Triathlon, and Itsy Bitsy Triathlon, with age eligibility ranging from 7 and up depending on the category. All start, transition, and finish activities occur at one venue location. Post-race amenities include a beer and margarita garden on-site.
