2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k 2026

Description

The 2026 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k event offers a great challenge to local runners and walkers. This course is a fast first mile downhill followed by what we like to affectionately call Watermelon Mountain at mile 2. To top it all off, at the end of the race there will be slices of locally grown Louisiana Watermelon for all finishers to enjoy.

This year, proceeds from the event will go to Willpower Foundation, Inc. This is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana that host events to race money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Your race entry will include this year's race t-shirt guaranteed with online registration until July 13th, 2026.

Custom Race Medals will be given to the first 300 registered finishers!

Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM in parking lot in front of the Farmerville First Baptist Church, 403 N. Main St., Farmerville, LA 71241.

Race begins at 7:30 AM

0-9 10-14 15-19 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39

40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70 and over

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES: July 25th at 4p

RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL BE $40

Roller blades and skates are prohibited on the racecourse.
