About the race
The race.
The College of Applied & Natural Sciences hosts a 5K run/walk on October 24, 2026, in Ruston, Louisiana, during Louisiana Tech's homecoming weekend. The course runs through and around the Louisiana Tech campus. Packet pickup and race day registration open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:45 AM, with the 5K starting at 8:00 AM. All finishers receive a medal, and age group awards are given for first, second, and third place in male and female categories across nine age divisions (9 and under through 70+). Proceeds support student research initiatives and service-learning programs in the college.
