DESCRIPTION

Join the Seashore Striders for a classic open water ocean swim along one of the most popular boardwalks in the United States...The 4th Boardwalk Mile Open Water Ocean Swim is back and will be held on Sunday, August 30th at 8 am. The start will be from either Queen St. or Grenoble depending on the current and will be announce closer to the event.

(NOTE...In case of rough surf or weather that RBP feels is too dangerous for any participant regardless of age, the make-up date will be Sunday, Sept 6th, 2026 at 8 am.

RACE LOCATION

Rehoboth Beach, DE. 19971...Start will either be at Queen St (South) or Grenoble St (North) depending on the current. Check-in will be at the start and the start will be advertised 12 hrs before by email and on the website www.seashorestriders.com .

Mail completed paper registration to: Seashore Striders; Boardwalk Mile, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE. 19958. Please mail by Monday of Race Week to be guaranteed an event t-shirt/swag. Make checks payable to “Seashore Striders”

PACKET PICKUP & BAG DROP

PACKET PICKUP WILL BE AT GRENOBLE AND THEN WE WILL EITHER START AT GRENOBLE OR SWIMMERS WILL WALK TO THE START AT QUEEN ST. THE SEASHORE STRIDERS WILL OFFER A BAG DROP SERVICE AT THE START IF ATHLETES NEED THE SEASHORE STRIDERS TO TRANSPORT THEIR BELONGINGS (SHIRT, SWEATS, SHOES ECT...) TO THE FINISH. PLEASE HAVE YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS PLACED IN A BAG OF SOME SORT AND LABELED WITH YOUR NAME AND WE WILL HAVE BINS FOR YOU TO PLACE IT IN. YOU CAN SIGN-UP FOR THIS SERVICE AS YOU REGISTER. THERE IS A $5 CHARGE FOR TRANSPORT. THE OTHER OPTION IS TO LEAVE YOUR BELONGINGS AT THE START AND RETURN TO GET IT AFTER THE RACE OR GIVE YOUR BELONGINGS TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER.

The 4th annual Tommy "TC" Coveleski Scholarship...A $500 scholarship to be given annually to a RPB Guard to be used for educational purposes.

WETSUITS

Wetsuits are allowed in this event unless the ocean temperature goes above 76.1 degrees. (USA Swim Guidelines). Water Temp on August 1-8 has averaged 72 degrees. If you are a wetsuit swimmer I would plan to wear one.

RACE TIMING

Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team and will be using the Chronotrack Tri Tag Chip system.

RACE AMENITIES

Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.,” Post-Race awards ceremony within 20 minutes following the final finisher, custom swag, custom awards, post-race refreshments on the beach.

AWARDS

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following 8 age categories: 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 & 70+

Awards will be presented within 20 minutes following the final swimm
