About the race
The race.
The 53rd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race takes place September 7, 2026, in Walpole, MA, featuring a 10K run, 5K run/walk, and 1-mile kids run, all starting and finishing at Walpole High School. Both the 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified. Registration costs $40 before September 5 and $45 after; ages 13 and under and 65 and older pay $25, as do youth mile participants. All finishers receive a medal; those registering before August 1 receive an official race T-shirt. Top three finishers in each distance earn engraved placement medals, and 10K winners' names are engraved on memorial trophies. Winning teams have their names engraved on a plaque displayed at Walpole High School. Proceeds benefit Walpole High School Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Strollers are permitted in the 5K race; dogs are not allowed on the course.
