About the race

The race.

The 8-Hour Dream Endurance Race takes place July 11, 2026, at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Participants run, walk, or stroll for eight hours on one of two looping courses: a 5K long course or a 1.91-mile short course, with the option to switch between them. The event accommodates solo runners, teams of 3–6 people (with specified female-ratio requirements for coed teams), and a separate Cat Nap 5K option—a single 5K loop starting alongside the main event. Running clubs compete for the RC Cup by fielding certified nonprofit 6-person coed teams. Post-race amenities include a free cookout, live music, and beer garden.
