The race.

A Merry Christmas Run takes place on December 26, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri, offering race distances of 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and half marathon (13.1 miles). Participants can choose from multiple wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with waves filling on a first-come, first-served basis. All paces and ages are welcome to run or walk; children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Finishers receive a race bib on event day, a t-shirt shipped in advance, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway item, and a digital training pack. Optional timing is available through personal tracking apps or coordinator assistance. A virtual race option is also available, allowing participants to complete their chosen distance anytime and anywhere, with results submitted for medal eligibility.
