About the race
The race.
This two-day advanced sailing course meets November 21–22, 2026, in San Diego, CA at Fiddler's Cove Marina. Classes run 9 am to 4 pm and are open to eligible MWR patrons and sponsored guests aged 16 and older. Course fees vary by military affiliation and rank; registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks. Participants receive a Navy Sailing Qualification Card upon completion. A valid California Boater Card or course completion certificate is required before the first class; study materials are available for pickup at the marina boathouse.
