Beckley Half Marathon & 5K 2026

The race.

The Beckley Half Marathon & 5K takes place on September 26, 2026, in Beckley, West Virginia, organized by Active Southern West Virginia. The half marathon starts at 8:00 AM and the 5K at 8:30 AM, both beginning and ending at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. The half marathon course incorporates a rail trail, uptown streets, and has a 3-hour 30-minute cutoff; the 5K follows an out-and-back route. Children 12 and under run the 5K free. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal, with additional medals awarded to top finishers in age groups from 0–12 through 70+. Post-race includes bean soup, cornbread, and pepperoni rolls. Race bibs, shirts, medals, and awards are distributed at the event; mailing items requires a $10 donation.
