The race.
Bull of the Woods Trail Races takes place September 5, 2026, at Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico. The event offers three distances: a 26-mile marathon, two 13-mile half marathons, and a 10K. The marathon and first half marathon course ascend to Kachina Peak (12,481 feet) before the marathon continues to Fraser Peak (12,168 feet) on the Northside trail system. The second half marathon follows the Northside trail system single-track course. The 10K course includes approximately 1.2 kilometers on mountain roads followed by single-track trails with nearly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. A portion of event proceeds supports the Enchanted Circle Trails Association.
