About the race
The race.
The 12th Annual Calabash Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in Calabash, NC. Participants can choose from a 10K (starting at 7:00 am), 5K (8:30 am start), or 1-mile Mashed Potato Miler (9:15 am start), or compete in all three races as the Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge. Awards include Golden Turkey Trophies for top three finishers overall by gender, top three in Masters categories by five-year age groups, and a Best Costume prize. Finishers receive pumpkin pie and coffee. The awards ceremony begins at 9:30 am; award recipients must be present to claim prizes.
