The race.

The Corolla Thanksgiving Day Wild Turkey 5k/1 Mile takes place November 26, 2026, in Corolla, NC, starting and finishing at the Whalehead Club. Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile 5k or 1-mile distance. Packet pickup and late registration occur November 25 from 3–6:30 PM at The GYM in Kitty Hawk, with race-day check-in available 6:30–7:45 AM on-site. The fun run starts at 8 AM, followed by the 5k at 8:15 AM, with post-race breakfast and awards concluding by 9:30 AM. Registration includes a long-sleeve cotton t-shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, and refreshments; awards go to top three overall finishers and age-group winners. The event accepts runners, walkers, wheelchair participants, and stroller users, with a water stop at the midpoint.
