The race.
The De Soto Days 5K-9 & Family Fun Run takes place September 6, 2026, in De Soto, Kansas. This 5K event begins at 8 a.m. and is presented by Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary. Participants receive bibs with official timing, and post-race snacks are provided. Dogs may accompany runners at no additional cost if they are friendly with other dogs and people and current on vaccinations. Water and snacks are available for canine participants. Virtual participation is also offered, allowing runners to complete any distance from anywhere on any day.
