Death by 5k Oregon 2026

The race.

Death by 5k Oregon is a 24-hour running challenge held August 8, 2026, at Elijah Bristow State Park in Dexter, OR. Participants complete ten 5-kilometer loops, with the first beginning at 8 a.m. and subsequent 5ks starting at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 11 p.m., 1:30 a.m., 4 a.m., and 6:30 a.m. Runners must start and finish each 5k before the next one begins. The event includes car camping and group tent camping at race headquarters, with hot meals served at 8:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m., and 4:30 a.m., plus snacks and water and mixed Gatorade available throughout. Participants receive an event shirt and finishers receive a coffin award. Headlamps or other illumination are required. Registration is limited to 150 participants.
