About the race
The race.
The Deep Hollow Half Marathon & 5K Trail Race takes place October 10, 2026, at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, VA. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles primarily on single-track trail with some forest roads, starting at 8 a.m. The 5K covers 3.1 miles on an out-and-back forest road course, starting at 8:15 a.m. Packet pickup with race shirt and bib occurs Friday, October 9, from noon to 6 p.m. at LaHaye Rotunda. Awards go to top three overall finishers by gender, top three in each age group by gender, and top male and female masters (over 40) overall. All half-marathon finishers receive a finisher award. Door prizes are distributed throughout the event.
