East Texas Yamboree Tater Trot 2026

The race.

The 89th East Texas Yamboree Tater Trot takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Gilmer, TX, starting at Gilmer High School (850 Buffalo Street). Participants can choose between a chip-timed 3.1-mile race beginning at 7:30 AM or a 1-mile fun run starting at approximately 7:35 AM. Water stations and post-race refreshments including coffee are provided. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, and pre-registered participants receive a race shirt. The 5K overall male and female champions each win a $200 gift basket, while 1st and 2nd place finishers in each age division for both distances receive award ribbons. Team registration is available, and costumes are encouraged.
