The race.

The Fields of Gold Trail Run takes place October 24, 2026, at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area near Marble Falls, Texas. The event features seven race options: a 50K, marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K, a 12-hour endurance challenge starting at 9:00 AM with a final hour spent on a designated short loop, and a one-hour Gold Hour challenge on a 4-mile out-and-back course. The course includes rolling hills, meadow trails, and lakeside paths. All proceeds benefit HKRS Cedar Park Youth Running Programs. Participants in races extending into darkness must bring a headlamp with fresh batteries and a backup light source.
