The race.
The Flunk Cancer 5K, held August 15, 2026, in Wilmington, NC, offers a 5K run/walk starting at 8:00 AM and a 1-mile run/walk starting at 8:05 AM. Both events begin and end at Sunset Park Elementary School, 613 Alabama Ave. Proceeds benefit the Flunk Cancer Foundation, which supports teachers and their families affected by cancer. Registration is available online before race day and on-site at packet pickup or race morning via QR code. Parking is available at Elderhaus, around the school, and on West Lake Shore Drive.
