Flying Turkey 5K/2K Run/Walk 2026

The race.

The Flying Turkey 5K/2K Run/Walk takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, starting at 8 a.m. from Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. Participants can register for a chip-timed or non-timed 5K or a 2K walk, with sign-in beginning at 6:45 a.m. Entry fees are $30 for timed and non-timed adults and $20 for children ages 3–12; children under 3 are free. The 5K follows a flat course through Crown Point streets, while the 2K remains in the park. The first 500 registrants receive finisher medals, and race awards are given to top overall finishers, masters competitors, and top-three finishers in age groups from 0–9 through 70 and older. The event includes donuts, live music, and a costume contest. Packet pickup is available November 24–25 at two locations or race morning from 6:45–7:45 a.m. Proceeds benefit local food pantries.
