Galax Autumn Days 5K Run 2026

The race.

The 38th Annual Galax Autumn Days 5K Run takes place on October 17, 2026, in Galax, Virginia. The 5K (3.1 miles) starts at 10:00 a.m., with a separate 1-mile race for children 12 and under beginning at 9:00 a.m. Both events start and finish at Felts' Park, 601 South Main Street. Registration occurs from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the park gymnasium on race day. The 5K entry fee is $20 if postmarked by October 14 or $25 from October 15 through race day; the fee includes a t-shirt. The course is flat, following Chestnut Creek with approximately half a mile on New River State Park property. Awards are given to overall winners and to first, second, and third place finishers in each age group by gender, with separate categories for Masters (40+) and Super Masters (60+) runners.
