The race.

The Halloween Trick or Trot Run takes place October 31, 2026, in San Francisco, offering 5K and 10K distances. Participants may choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with registration capped per wave on a first-come, first-served basis. A virtual run option is also available. Finishers receive a technical running shirt (shipped to a U.S. address), medal, towel or giveaway, digital training pack, and online results certificate. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal running apps or coordinator assistance. Race bibs are distributed on race day, and a final course map email arrives the Wednesday before the event.
