The race.

The Veterans Day Freedom Run takes place November 14, 2026, in San Francisco, CA, offering 5K, 10K, half-marathon (13.1 miles), and 1-mile distances. Three wave start times are available: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM, with late arrivals accommodated for three hours after the first wave. Participants receive a technical running shirt (shipped to their US address the week of the race), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway, digital training pack, online results, and a certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal apps or with coordinator assistance. Runners and walkers of all ages and paces are welcome; those under 18 must have a guardian. Fundraising for a chosen charity is optional, with 100% of net funds going to the participant's selected cause.
