The race.

The Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 event in Shorewood, IL on April 12, 2026 offers age-grouped running races for children from PreK through 8th grade, including distances of 50 yards, 75 yards, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and 1 mile. A Challenger Division with a 75-yard dash accommodates children with disabilities and special needs, allowing parents, siblings, and supporters on the course. Series registration covers all five weeks of races, includes race bibs each week, a runner shirt, finisher medal awarded in week five, and sponsor giveaways. Single-day walk-up registration is available one hour before each race event. Trophies are awarded to top finishers in each age division by gender, and all participants receive medals.
