About the race
The race.
The Hellbender 5K & Half Marathon takes place August 23, 2026, at Route 54 Parking Area in Bear Gap, PA, within Weiser State Forest. Both races follow out-and-back courses starting and finishing at the parking area. The half marathon begins at 8:00am and the 5K at 8:30am, with packet pickup available from 7:00am on race morning. All participants receive a race shirt, finisher medal, and post-race meal. The event benefits RCVCA to support clean water in the Roaring Creek Watershed. The race is limited to 300 participants with no race day registration or wait-list available.
