The Houtzdale Days Annual 5K Run/Walk and Fireman's Challenge takes place August 1, 2026, in Houtzdale, PA. The 5K course measures 3.3 miles and registration is $25 for the run/walk or $20 for the Fireman's Challenge, with all proceeds benefiting the Houtzdale Fire Company. Participants in the Fireman's Challenge compete the same distance while wearing or carrying turnout gear (boots, hat, pants, and coat); the first-place finisher wins $250 for their chosen fire company or EMS. Awards include medals for first, second, and third place in male and female categories.
