Illinois State University Homecoming Town and Gown 5K 2026

The race.

The Illinois State University Homecoming Town and Gown 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, in Normal, Illinois. The in-person race starts at 8 a.m. at the Student Fitness Center and runs through Uptown Normal and around campus, with one water stop on the course. Registration is $20 for all ages and must be completed online by 7 a.m. on race day; register by midnight September 16 to guarantee a race shirt. Awards go to overall winners by gender and wheelchair category, plus top three finishers in age divisions from 14 and under through 60 and over. Post-race refreshments provided by the Town of Normal are available to all participants. Five dollars from each registration supports the Marian H. Dean Scholarship.
