The race.

The Jesse James Festival 5K/10K Bill James Classic takes place September 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM in Kearney, Missouri. Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, or 2.09K stroll, all starting and finishing at Jesse James Park. The 5K course consists of one loop on paved trails connecting Jesse James Park and Mack Porter Park, while 10K runners complete two loops. The 2.09K stroll follows two loops around the pond. All distances feature a footbridge connecting the two parks and include the Jesse James Park hill.
